Our
Director's Heart
Kristin Schuchmann
with newborn Eric
“Nannie”
|
I am proud to announce the birth
of Eric Christopher Schuchmann, Jr., my very first grandbaby! He is
the cutest thing on the planet! He was born into my hands in my
home on November 20, at 12:53 a.m., weighing 6 pounds, 12 ounces,
and instantly stealing my heart. Watching my son and
daughter-in-love blossom into such wonderful parents makes me
extremely proud.
|
One way I can bring honor to Nannie and Grandaddy is to strive to follow
their example as a grandparent. I want to be the grandparent who is
always there for her grandchildren, who shows her confidence in them in
every way possible, who recognizes their talents and provides support and
encouragement as they follow their dreams. My parents are this way
with my children, and it has impacted them significantly.
I have decided that I want to be called “Nannie” because, with that title, I
will have the constant reminder of how important grandparents are in the
lives of their grandchildren. My hope is that Todd and I will live up
to the high calling of “Nannie & Grandaddy”.
Eric, Carole-Lee, and baby Eric are still here and we are enjoying every
morsel of time we have with them. (They return home to Virginia in
January.) Most mornings, I have the opportunity to connect with my
grandson in a special “Nannie” sort of way. As soon as the sun comes
up, he is awake and grinning; but Eric & Carole-Lee, in their sleep-deprived
state, are not quite ready to face the day. That’s when he gets
“Nannie” time. We sit together, sing, smile, and just love on each
other until he is hungry again. It is the highlight of my day!
Baby Eric, Carole-Lee and Eric |
We are super happy that they will be with us for Christmas this year!
Merry Christmas, Charis family! May Jesus be glorified in your homes
and lives and may you grow more intimately in love with our Savior during
this season!

year, your dues have made it financially possible for us to creatively
correspond with people in areas of the world where internet is spotty at best.
Having all forms of communication available for us is essential if we are going
to successfully train birth professionals in the far reaches of the earth.
As our community of members grows, there will be more funds available for even
more world-impacting outreach. Thank you!
Membership is due every December 31 for the coming calendar year. So, if
you became a member on or before December 31, 2011, your dues should be mailed
by the middle of December, 2012, to be sure it is received in time. If you
became a member sometime in 2012, then your membership is not due until December
31, 2013.

'Behold, I will bring them from the north country, And gather them
from the ends of the earth,
Among them the blind and the lame,
The woman with child and The one who labors with child, together,
A
great throng shall return there...And My people shall be satisfied with My goodness, says the LORD.'
