Charis Labor Support
Workshop
Was held Saturday, September
26, 2009
At
the
Breath of Life Birth Center
Midwives, student midwives, doulas, and student doulas gathered at
the beautiful Breath of Life Birth Center in Largo, FL, for the 2009
Charis "Labor Support" Workshop.
Had a lovely time spending the day with others who love birth and
want to "learn all" so that they can give their all! I loved the
hands-on and listening to others share their experiences. That kind
of knowledge sticks with you!
-Vicki Sink
This workshop helped renew in my mind the important role of a Doula,
when we are offered the privilege to be a part of someone's birth.
I walked away with more valuable tools and ides! Thank you! I
really enjoyed getting to know other Charis' students and to meet
Kristin and Susan in person.
-Kristin Paulus
We had a fabulous time learning the
fascinating science behind why labor support techniques work, we
practiced effective ways birth professionals can help women have a
more fulfilling birth experience, and thoroughly enjoyed the new
friendships made that day.
The
next workshop will be the Charis "Teaching Birth" Workshop in the
late winter. Details will be posted in the Charis e-newsletter and
here on the website soon.

Who would have thought that a simple pool noodle could be such a
great massage and counter pressure tool?
Pregnant Vicki Sink says it feels great!
