Equipping Birth Professionals Worldwide

One of the things that sets Charis Childbirth apart is community.  Even though we are scattered around the globe, Charis Family Members care for each other, encourage each other, help each other, pray for each other, and love each other.   We truly are like an extended family. 

Through our monthly e-newlsetter, we learn about what is happening in the lives of Charis members around the world, "meet" different Charis family members who are featured each month, read a note from our Director's heart, rejoice with the new parents as they announce their babies' births, and enjoy various articles of interest to both birth professionals and parents alike. 

All of our students, both past and present, participate in an e-mail group where they ask questions of other students about topics they are studying, reply to each other's questions, encourage each other, network, send in prayer requests, etc.

Each of our students also has a personal mentor from within the Charis family; we call them "Charis Coaches".  Through the mentoring relationships, professional bonds  and lifetime friendships are formed.

Our membership directory provides a way for people to connect with childbirth educators, doulas, midwives, lactation specialists, physicians, pastors, churches, etc. in their geographic area who share the Charis values. 

The Charis Family is one of the warmest and friendliest groups around, and we would be thrilled if YOU made Charis "Your Birthing Family", too.
