“The woman about to become a mother, or with her newborn infant upon her bosom, should be the object of trembling care and sympathy wherever she bears her tender burden or stretches her aching limbs. God forbid that any member of the profession to which she trusts her life, doubly precious at that eventful period, should hazard it negligently, unadvisedly or selfishly.”

~ Oliver Wendell Holmes

Energy Soup

Ingredients:
4 cups water (or more as you add the vegetables)
1 Tbsp dulse flakes or kelp powder
½ cup sprouted lentils
½ cup sprouted mung beans
1 handful buckwheat lettuce sprouts
     (remove brown seeds if any)
1 handful sunflower sprouts
     (remove black seeds if any)
½ avocado
3 large kale leaves broken into small pieces
     or 3 cups baby greens
2 carrots
garlic to taste

Preparation:

1. Blend completely all ingredients in the Vita–Mix until creamy. You want a very smooth mixture without any detectable particles of food.

2. Add more or less water to reach a consistency that pleases you.

3. Grate carrots, garlic and other veggies you enjoy and add to the soup.

4. You can warm soup or eat it unheated.

'Behold, I will bring them from the north country, And gather them from the ends of the earth,
Among  them the blind and the lame, The woman with child and The one who labors with child,  together,
A great throng shall return there...And My people shall be satisfied with My goodness, says the LORD.'
 Jeremiah 31:8, 14
