Course
for Childbirth
Professionals
Want to become a Childbirth Educator, Doula, or Midwife? Charis
offers excellent education for birth professionals from a Christian
perspective.
The Charis Course for Childbirth Professionals is a two-part
course. The first part is “Foundations for Childbirth
Professionals”. In addition to this being the beginning of our
Midwifery Academics Course, those who desire to become Childbirth
Educators and Doulas will be fully equipped at the end of
“Foundations” to take the exam to become Charis Certified Childbirth
Educators and Doulas.
Part Two is “Advanced Midwifery Academics”, which builds upon
“Foundations” to provide aspiring midwives an extremely
comprehensive academic course. The two parts combined are designed
to prepare midwives well for the NARM exam, but you will find that
it far exceeds that standard.

Our
Director's Heart

Greetings Charis Family!
I just returned home from a great visit to Virginia! The first
weekend there, Charis had a booth at the TEACH education Expo in
Norfolk. We always really enjoy the Tidewater expo and this year was
no exception. I got to see some old friends and make some new ones.
During the week, my husband & I, our four children, my parents, and
some good frineds of ours went camping and hiking in the Blue Ridge
Mountains at Shenandoah National Park. It was so beautiful and
peaceful!
After our outdoor adventures, we returned to Virginia Beach for the
Charis annual "Labor Support Workshop". Charis students and I had a
fantastic time connecting with each other and learning and
practicing the techniques we use as we serve laboring women.
Next month we'll have pictures of the workshop to share with you.
Enjoy the last days of summer!
Blessings,
Kristin

Please pray for Anne Sokol, Doran Richards and Midwife Tierney Dovan, who will be accompanying Doran to Ukraine in October. Pray their work will go smoothly and quickly, that they would be diligent, that many ladies would come to the conferences they
are planning for the trip, and that the Mother-Baby Center would be a truly spiritual turning point for many Ukrainian ladies.
