Our Charis Family
Michelle Kante
Shalom to you and your houses! My name
is Michelle Kante and I
recently attended the Charis "Labor Support"
Workshop in North Port, Florida. I was honored
when I was asked to share a little about myself.
I am very passionate about my God(YHVH) and
Heavenly Father. I know He is Life and the
author and creator of life. The entire
preparation and cycle of the birthing process may be
seen in all He has created and provided for us.
I experienced a wonderful birthing process with my
first and only son Noach in a local hospital’s
“natural birthing room”. The LORD(YHVH)
was glorified and revealed among all involved during
the labor.
I originally wanted to birth Noach at home and could
not find a believing midwife who was available.
I was four months pregnant and was in prayer about
this. It was was His desire for me to trust
Him and say: “Lord, I want to have Noach
where you will receive the most glory.” Once I
received this revelation and willingly submitted to
His plans, I was soon connected to the right midwife
and birthing plan that He had prepared for me and
Noach.
About three years later during a local Bible study
series called “The Glory of an Intercessor”, a
scriptural passage that I had ready many times
before meant much more to me because of my birthing
experience and process with the Lord and Noach.
“Although he had done no violence and he had said
nothing deceptive, yet it pleased YHVH to crush him
with illness, to see if he would present himself as
a guilt offering. If he does, he will see his
offspring; and prolong his days; and at his hand
YHVH’s desire will be accomplished. After this
ordeal, he will see satisfaction. “By his
knowing [pain and sacrifice], my righteous servant
makes many righteous; it is for their sins he
suffers.”
-Yesha Yahu (Isaiah) 53:10-11 CJB version
I realized that Elohim (God) had before the
foundation of the earth created a unique birthing
plan for all of his offspring. We were the joy
set before Him as His only unique Son Yeshua
endured all the labor preparation, pain and
sacrifice on an execution stake. Yeshua’s
labor pangs entered even the darkest valley and
shadow of death. Both Father and Son suffering
the separation from one another for a time so that
we might be reconciled back to Father God.
YHVH was prepared to endure this agony so that
His own seed and offspring would become glorious
birthing intercessors just like Him! We could
now daily have the honor and opportunity of
communing and partnering with the spiritual, and
sometimes physical, birthing of our Father God’s
Kingdom plans and purposes. We now could also choose
to position ourselves daily in a place of love,
humility and death to our own desires and flesh.
Yeshua is our high Priest and Intercessor
standing in the gap right now at the right hand of
His and our Father in the heavenly throne room
praying for us to victoriously walk the path of the
labor of love.
So many of you beautiful ones face daily assignments
where you are called to graciously and gloriously
help birth others in the Kingdom of God’s love.
You may be a parent, spouse, teacher, midwife,
doula, worker in the marketplace, business owner ..
and you have been birthed for such a time and season
as this to see His desires accomplished, His
offspring come forth. May I encourage you?
It is not by mere human effort, might or power but
the Ruach Elohim (the Holy breath Spirit of
God). His torah (Hebrew meaning
teaching and instructions) written on our hearts by
the Holy Spirit (Ruach Ha Kodesh) give us the
life, wind, breath, direction and wisdom we need to
move forward. The same Holy Spirit that raised
Yeshua from the dead actually lives in you!
May the love of the Father, the grace of his son
Yeshua and the communion of the Holy Spirit be
with you all. May His love, grace, mercy and
shalom be yours in abundance. Amen.

Broccoli Slaw
Submitted by
Kristin Schuchmann
Salad:
12 oz broccoli slaw (make your own with a food processor or buy
it pre-made at the grocery store)
1 green onion, green and white parts, thinly sliced
1 red chili pepper (optional)
¼ C chopped cashews or almonds or a combination of the two
Dressing:
1/8 C oil (toasted sesame oil, extra virgin olive oil, or your
favorite)
1/8 C vinegar (rice vinegar, red wine vinegar, or your favorite)
1/8 C raw, local honey
1/8 C tamari (or nama shoyu, or other soy sauce)
Juice of 1 lime
Preparation:
Prepare salad ingredients and place in a bowl. Combine dressing
ingredients and whisk until well blended. Pour dressing over the
salad and let sit for about 15 minutes to marinate.
The recipe above is exactly as I made it today, except that I
made 4 times as much; but in the past, I have also added snow
peas and broccoli florets. We needed a quick meal today, so I
used store-bought broccoli slaw and green onions and red chilies
from my garden.
Enjoy!
Note from editor: After receiving the above recipe to
include in this month's newsletter, I decided to make it myself.
It was scrumptious! Here's a picture of the broccoli and
cabbage before I sliced it up, too pretty not to save! It
looked just like the finished slaw above after being sliced up.
