Delicious
Lentil-Barley Stew
3/4 C barley
1 lb. red lentils
3 large or 4 medium potatoes, diced
4 or 5 medium carrots, diced
5 stalks of celery, diced
½ of a small red onion, diced
3 large, ripe tomatoes, peeled and diced
2 cloves garlic, minced or pressed
1 t oregano
1 t rosemary
1 t cumin
salt to taste (optional)
Place all ingredients into large soup pot of boiling water and boil
until barley is tender
(approx. 30 or 40 minutes).

of design, color and content. The shores of our communication
possibilities are expanding.

you might have to offer. Post your Charis workshops and
gatherings here, also. If you'd like your babies' pictures to
be featured in our regular sections, the Charis Newsletter
would be honored and graced to use them.

been serving childbearing families for over 3 decades. We are so
