Rose working on "home improvements" in Virginia

Happy New Year Charis Family!!!

Greetings from my "construction zone". Our home in Virginia Beach has been in the throws of home improvements since the beginning of October in
preparation for selling our home. We are almost finished-- and boy will I be glad it is all over! By the time you get this newsletter, we will have our new carpet and floors installed and the house will be FOR SALE! (Call me if you or someone you know are looking to buy a 4 bedroom home.) Even more exciting than selling our current home, however, is the anticipation of moving into our brand new house in North Port, Florida, whose construction
is due to be complete in March or April. Gasp! We are moving far away!

There's the future Charis office!

Recently, I had someone say to me, "What am I going to do next time I have a baby??? I don't think I can do it without you!!!" Well, the truth of the matter is that with or without a great doula, you will give birth to your baby! But, I do know the value of having the support of great midwives and doulas and I understand why people want to  carefully choose their birth team. Well, even though the Schuchmann family is moving to FL, and with us the Charis international headquarters, it will not change the services Charis offers in the Tidewater area of Virginia. Charis is worldwide, but there are more Charis childbirth educators and doulas in and around Virginia Beach than anywhere else in the world... and I have trained every one of them to serve families with he same high standards of excellence. They not only have what I have poured into them, but each of them has unique gifts and skills of their own that make them even better! I truly have successfully worked myself out of a job here. Michelle Kaufman is filling
my size 6 shoes here as local director and will be glad to connect Tidewater families with the excellent childbirth professionals and childbirth classes in that area.

Many of you know what our family is up to, but for those who don't, I'll explain. Todd and I will be planting a church in North Port, FL, and  subsequently a church-planting movement in South Florida (and beyond). Our church will be part of New Life Ministries International
and Vanguard Ministries. This is something for which God has been preparing us for many many years and we are so excited and humbled by this assignment. Please pray for us as we launch out!

Love and Blessings,
Kristin

'Behold, I will bring them from the north country, And gather them from the ends of the earth,

A great throng shall return there...And My people shall be satisfied with My goodness, says the LORD.'
